Who we are?

NET4SOCIETY is the FP7-funded international network of National Contact Points for Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) in the 7th European Framework Programme (FP7). National Contact Points (NCPs) are set up to guide researchers in their quest for securing EU funding  www.net4society.eu

ALLEA is the European Federation of 53 National Academies of Sciences and Humanities from 40 countries. ALLEA has a dedicated Interest Group on Social Sciences and Humanities, but many other aspects of its science policy work also touch upon the conditions for research in SSH (e.g.: science and ethics; IPR; Open Access; research infrastructures; evaluation; etc.).  www.allea.org

The European Consortium of Humanities Institutes and Centres connects 25 humanities research institutes at European universities with the aim of promoting international collaborative research initiatives. Research institutes are strategic initiatives of universities with the aim of promoting humanities research and international exchange.  www.echic.org

The Standing Committees for the Humanities (SCH) and for the Social Sciences (SCSS) of the European Science Foundation (ESF) represent research organisations (funding and performing organisations and learned societies) and scientific communities in 30 European countries.  www.esf.org

The initiative is also endorsed by the FP7 ERA-Nets HERA (22 Humanities Research Councils plus ESF, with three research programmes HERA-JRP) and NORFACE (14 European Social Sciences Research Councils plus Canada, with three research programmes). www.heranet.info   www.norface.org
